Viewing a device's custom fields
The device's Secure Endpoint Agent is responsible for collecting the information shown in most device-related fields, but for custom fields, users enter the information. This information can be specific to the device, such as "Warranty End Date", or to your organization, such as "Department".
You can access the Custom Fields page from any page that shows linked device identifiers in the results grid.
To view the custom fields for a device:
- On any page that shows linked device identifiers in the first column of the results grid, such as the All Devices page in the Devices area, click the link for the device that you want to view. Summarized information about the device shows in the page header.

Click the Details tab and then click Custom Fields.
All custom fields associated with your account show on the Custom Fields page. If a field is populated for this device, the value shows next to the field label. To quickly find a custom field, enter all or part of the field name in the Search field.

If you are logged in as a user with Manage permissions for Device Fields, you can update a device's custom fields by doing the following:

For the custom field whose value you want to update, hover over its row and click
.You can't update a device's custom field values if the device has a status of Reported Stolen.

Enter or select a value to assign to the device.
If required, you can discard your changes and exit edit mode by clicking

Click
to save the value.When a custom field value is updated, a Custom field updated event is logged to Event History.
It may take a few minutes before the updated values show on the Custom Fields page.
